I am SO excited that I finally get to share this wedding with you that I am bouncing in my seat! Sarah and RJs wedding has been featured on StyleMePretty where you can see even more pictures from their Arizona wedding!
These two are the sweetest, most friggin’ adorable couple!
When I first met with them, Sarah described her ideal wedding to me as romantic, rustic, and whimsy with the feeling of a backyard DIY wedding.
Originally having plans to wed in Savannah, GA, Sarah realized that a destination wedding just wasn’t a viable option so she and her now husband, Richard, decided it would be best to stay in Arizona and have immediate family and friends attend the ceremony and reception.
Sarah and RJ could not have picked a more beautiful location than the Windmill Winery.
Keeping with their backyard details, they chose a spot within the winery that had never been previously used to exchange vows. Nestled across from the barn is a delightful little spot under an old tree. Wooden orbs with purple shades of ribbon hung from the branches.
A lot of the details that went into their day were items already on the farm: reused and recycled. The best kind!! Having an obsession with DIY projects, Sarah and the in-house designer at Windmill Winery, Jenny Williams, collaborated on bringing in the finishing touches.
From the yellow pews for guest seating at the ceremony, mason jar luminaries, hay bales with colorful towels and woven rugs for their bonfire, and small, wooden bird house favors (one of my favorite details) personally painted by the bride, Sarah and RJ had the perfect setting for their backyard wedding.
