In hopes of promoting a health conscious lifestyle and to bring awareness to my eco-friendly wedding clients regarding Green Living, I found this cool article on tips to becoming an “everyday environmentalist”. They even have tips to make your wedding green!!
I’ve noticed a recent trend among my brides where they would rather spend their hard-earned money on giving to various charities instead of doing party favors at the reception tables – sometimes a waste of space. They leave small notecards explaining their decision to donate to a good cause rather than splurge on little bags of candy or other favors.
Little known tidbit; “The Bridal Association of America estimates that the average couple spends over $400 on favors for their guests.” (quote taken from The Nature Conservancy website)
Here’s one way to do it — They donated to three different charities involving the rescue of animals in shelters.

They couldn’t have the wedding without their dog! Such a happy guy.
