I decided to have some fun and since I’m not afraid of rats, snakes, scorpions, or anything remotely creepy (aside from spiders), I’d go have some fun watching several thousand Mexican free-tailed bats emerge from their day roost under the Maricopa county Flood Control Tunnel near 40th st and Camelback. Thanks to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for educating the public about the importance of bat conservation.

This was taken completely in camera. Interesting things happen when you mess with the exposure settings.

Seriously?! How cool is that??
